It’s a joint initiative between the Queensland Police’s Southern Region and Helidon-based truckies support group, TRUST. Instead of handing out infringement notices, in some cases Southern Region’s police will be handing drivers a pillow carrying the road safety message, ‘Crash Here. Think about it! STOP. Tired Drivers DIE!’

“With our friends from TRUST, a truck safety advocacy and support group, we are launching a road safety media campaign to highlight fatigue related crashes and the danger that fatigue poses for motorist on our roads generally, here in Queensland,” Queensland Police Southern Region Traffic Coordinator, Acting Inspector Douglas McDonald said.
