Allison’s new architecture to go on show

Newly patented TC10 twin countershaft/torque converter architecture will be unveiled on Allison Transmission’s display at the 64th International Motor Show (IAA) in Hanover, Germany in late September. Allison says the new transmission architecture delivers the benefits of uninterrupted power and tractive force to the truck and trailer segment. Allison’s display will also show how natural gas-powered vehicle performance and efficiency are significantly improved with an Allison automatic. Mercedes Econic NGV vehicles equipped with Allison have been shown to reduce emissions by 20 to 30 per cent, noise by 50 per cent and fuel costs by nearly 20 per cent as compared to diesel.
